ABOUT TIERNEY PENSION ADMINISTRATION, LLC
My degree is in Electrical Engineering where I graduated with a BSEE from RIT. I ended up at Westinghouse Electric where I got my fill of corporate America. I bought my first computer during this job and began to write inventory management programs. This led me to writing some Benefit Programs for Francis W. Morley. I did this on the side in 1987 and 1988. I formally started Thomas Brian Tierney Pension Services in 1989.
We were a Third Party Administrator for the small Plan Market. We branched into Plan Documents in 1994 as a result of all the changes from the Tax Reform Act of 1986. We continued in this mode as the back office Third Party Pension Administrator for Accountants, Financial Professionals and Clients.
We changed our Articles of Organization to Tierney Pension Administration, LLC in late 2001. In 2002 we decided to branch into payroll processing to meet the wishes of some of our 401k clients. We have refined this service over the years and now have a first rate payroll service. Pension Administration and Payroll make up ninety percent of our business and the rest is more client driven, from bookkeeping, Fringe Benefit Statements and custom accounting and trust work. We have a proven history of providing a cost effective professional service. We are not a one stop service business, but we do Pension Administration and Payroll very well!
